FAQ's
How much feed fits in each compartment?
The large (500mm W) section to the left of the MFB1600, MFB1200 and MFB0900 holds an entire 35kg bag of Oaten Chaff. The smaller (275-300mm W) sections will hold two whole bags of feeds like Barley, Thurra, Pollard, Tru-Gain, Oats etc.
The volume of each section compared to a 44 Gallon Drum, A typical 44 Gallon drum measures .3125 M3, Large section to the left measures .265 M3 Smaller sections measure .140M3 |
Can I reach the bottom?
The front height of our feed bins is 850mm (includes castors), this is identical in height to a 44 Gallon Drum, However the floor will be raised a 100mm. A good way to test your reach is to put your arm in a 44 Gallon drum, if you can reach the bottom with a scoop you are good to go. Alternatively if you don't plan on moving your feed bin, the castor wheels can be removed.
Do the walls bend/bow?
No, the walls are braced and the feed bins are designed to comfortably hold 200kgs of feed.
Are they completely sealed?
Yes, all Millennium Feed Bins come with a 24mm cushion seal that prevents water and dust from entering the bin.
Are they easy to fill?
As easy as filling a 44 Gallon Drum, a little more care needs to be taken if filling a divided compartment as they are narrower than a standard drum.
Do they come in other colours?
Yes, Millennium Feed Bins can be custom ordered in a variety of different colours, any custom colour order will incur a $80 custom fee.
I've just pre-ordered a Millennium Feed Bin; How long should I expect to wait?
If products are made available for pre-order, you can generally expect to wait anywhere up to 4 weeks. For custom colour orders you may have to wait up to 6 weeks. Rest assured our team will keep you informed throughout the whole process.
Is the floor re-inforced?
Absolutely, The floor has front to back reinforcement strips where the castor wheels are fitted, as well as side to side reinforcement.
